Set up Twitch alerts with Nekotina

Get Discord notifications when a Twitch channel goes live.

Twitch alerts notify a Discord channel when a streamer you follow starts broadcasting live. Nekotina posts a customizable message with the channel name and, optionally, the viewer count.

Prerequisites

  1. Access to the dashboard.
  2. A Discord channel for alerts, e.g. #streams or #twitch.
  3. Nekotina needs Manage Webhooks in that channel.

Step 1 — Open Twitch

  1. Select your server.
  2. Go to Social Alerts → Twitch.

You'll see how many alerts are configured and your plan limit.

Step 2 — Create an alert

  1. Click Add new alert.
  2. Search and select the Twitch channel.
  3. Choose the destination Discord channel.
  4. Write the alert message using {{channel}} for the streamer's name:
🔴 {{channel}} is live! Join now on Twitch.
  1. (Optional) Enable Viewer count to show live viewers.
  2. Customize the notification display name and profile picture.
  3. Click Save changes.

Step 3 — Manage alerts

From the list you can edit or remove existing alerts. Each streamer needs their own alert.

Tips

  • Use a dedicated channel so alerts don't mix with general chat.
  • The message supports basic Discord markdown.
  • Combine with YouTube alerts if you follow creators on multiple platforms.
